Quandary Peak
As a 14er, Quandary is an easily approachable mountain throughout the year, situated just south of Breckinridge, CO. The route is so popular in the wintertime that snowshoes can typically be left behind. Having family in town for a short trip makes the mountain an attractive destination for easily earned views in a day trip. After we summited, we were treated by a procession of mountain goats who reminded us that our accomplishment was just another part of their day. They measured us up and decided to pass us in order to make their way to the next mountain; the elders kept their eyes on us while the kids playfully dancing on the precipice, enjoying their natural-born ability to walk on walls.
